of HOTEL VILLA WANDA

|

The "Hotel Villa Wanda" is situated in Loc. Generico, just 600 mt from sand beach Lido di Capoliveri and 4 km from Porto Azzurro, a lovely and hospitable town with Spanish origins, founded in 1603 by Philip III of Spain and given the name of Porto Longone. It is situated at the foot of a promontory set in a wide inlet on the eastern coast of the island.
Porto
Azzurro offers many facilities and characteristic local crafts shops. The elegant seafront, with a pleasure craft harbour, offers pleasant strolls and many occasions for shopping. For those of you who wish to enjoy yourselves or like the night life, there is a large choice: Porto Azzurro and Capoliveri offer the best choice of pubs, discos, piano bars, wine and beer bars.
Capoliveri,
Capoliveri, a small town on the top of a hill, 167m above sea level, is situated 5 km from Porto Azzurro. In the past it was associated with agricultural and mining activities and today it is one of the most characteristic and lively towns on Elba, rich in charm and history. Its narrow and picturesque streets and arches called ‘chiassi’ hide little crafts shops and inviting bars and restaurants where you can taste local specialities and drink a good glass of wine.
Lido
di Capoliveri this wide, sandy beach, surrounded by typical Mediterranean maquis, offers a variety of tourist structures: camping sites, hotels, residences and apartments. It is mid-way between Portoferraio and Porto Azzurro and easy to reach.
The beach gets very crowded in the height of the season.
Along the southern side of the coast sea lovers can find splendid hidden inlets. In a few minutes by car you can reach the well known beach of Lacona, characterised by its magnificent dunes of very fine sand and the numerous tourist facilities available, thanks to which you can practise all kinds of water sports.
The coast of Capoliveri, in addition to Lacona, can boast of a number of beautiful beaches and inlets: Margidore, Lido, Zuccale, Barabarca, Morcone, Pareti, Innamorata and Remaiolo, completely surrounded by Mediterranean bush including pine, eucalyptus, prickly pear, palm and agave trees that represent real areas of peace and nature.
